About the club

Since 1928 many golfers have shared their passion for the game in this historic club set in the heart of the Basque country. The course designed by Harry Colt is a great test for all golfers, requiring accuracy and strategy, and players can enjoy the wonderful parkland environment in the foothills of the Pyrenees. This 18-hole course measures 5833 metres and will blow you away with its beauty. This is a true Harry Colt classic, meandering its way through the pines, with the front nine on flatter land but protected by several water hazards, and the back nine on more undulating land. Chantaco Golf club hosts the Lacoste Ladies French Open every year (Ladies European Tour Tournament). This is the only Club of Basque Country to host such a significant tournament and you’ll discover why when walking along its fairways. Situated 20 minutes away from Biarritz and 10 minutes from Saint-Jean de Luz, you’ll also enjoy the natural beauty of the Basque Country and the hospitality of locals.
