Golf de Mazamet-La-Barouge
About the club
The golf course extends over 54 hectares for a length of 5635m. It has a beautifully wooded landscape and two rivers intertwine there (the Thoré and the Issalès). The Scottish architects Ross Mackenzie and M.Hawtree knew how to create a course that is slightly hilly without being too physical. Technically harmonious, it is a challenge for all categories of golfers: beginners and advanced. The course is playable in all seasons, all year round. Very tree-lined, the course requires precise drives to find the opening that allows for an easy attack on the green. The alternation of difficult approaches and beautiful birdies possibilities makes the course pleasant and varied for all levels of play. The course is straightforward: a good shot is rewarded and a bad shot is punished. However, the difficulty of the course can be accentuated by the prevailing wind in the area, which blows in gusts and requires concentration at all times.
