Leisure and sport are combined along the stream "Le Roumat", in the middle of the Landes forest where you will spend a wonderful moment in a place full of history, apparently isolated from the rest of the world, and yet close to the main centers of the Aquitaine region and Spain. Within driving distance of more than 60 golf courses, in the heart of a renowned gastronomic region, close to the Bordeaux vineyards, the Landes and Basque beaches, the Pyrenean peaks and Spain, the Mont de Marsan golf course is the undisputed Landes center of sporting, tourist and gastronomic interests. In the calm of the Landes forest at the gates of Mont de Marsan on the pretty town of Saint Avit you will spend a wonderful time in a place steeped in history. You will put your steps in those of the soldiers who, since the nineteenth century, maneuvered on the site and left him the name "Pessourdat", Gascon word meaning "soldiers' feet". You will take the path of the airial and the very old typical farmhouse of the Landes, fitted out as a Club-House; there, you will plunge into the local heritage through its gastronomy. You will then have to deal with the technical and varied course designed with happiness by our great French golfer Jean Garaïalde. You will evolve in a magnificent forest where maritime pines, oaks, chestnut trees, birches and fruit trees rub shoulders. The 18-hole course is located in a light stone pine and spruce forest. The first 9 holes are undulating and physical. Despite of several water hazards the course is not to hard and enjoyable to play.
