About the club

Inaugurated in May 1968, the course of La Forêt is designed in the heart of the Bois des Gonnards . Its relatively flat layout meanders through trees of hundreds of different species, giving the course a rural atmosphere, rare in the region. Its fairways are quite narrow and its immense greens are almost systematically defended by wide and deep bunkers. Some of the par 4s are extremely long, requiring powerful and straight shots, and several dog-leg holes such as numbers 7, 8 and 15 complete the difficulties of this long and demanding course. Less prestigious than its big brother La Vallée, the course at La Forêt is nevertheless just as interesting and pleasant to play and very difficult to score. More than just a second course, La Forêt offers a real golfing challenge over more than six kilometers and even becomes prodigious when the trees are decked out in their autumn colors.
