About the club
The design collaboration by amateur star Bobby Jones and golf architect Robert Trent Jones (no relation) was meant to recapture the magic that the Grand Slam winner had experienced when he teamed with Alister Mackenzie in the design of Augusta National. But Trent was an even more forceful personality than the flamboyant MacKenzie, so Peachtree reflects far more of Trent’s notions of golf than Bobby’s, particularly in designing for future equipment advances. When it opened, Peachtree measured in excess of 7,200 yards, extremely long for that era. It boasted the longest set of tees in America (to provide flexibility on holes) and the country’s most enormous greens (to spread out wear and tear). As it turns out, Trent was a visionary, and decades later, other designers followed his lead to address advances in club and ball technology.

This is one of the most historic and breathtaking golf courses and clubs in the south. I have been blessed beyond measure to have played it. I grew up driving by this special place for many years as my grandparents lived on Silver Lake in Brookhaven just behind Oglethorpe College, which is right across the street. Donn Perno is the head golf professional and a legend in Atlanta golf. I absolutely have not seen a place more beautiful than this in the entire entire city of Atlanta - golf course superintendent William Shirley has made an impression by setting the standard as high as it gets. ⛳️💯👏🏽🐺

Great course and amazing staff. Wonderful areas for events. Decker gives a 5 star for everyone keeping animmaculate landscape and most of all having courteous members to say hello to while visiting (hes service, stayed off lawn areas, and quite the refined gentleman).

A magnificent and comfortable Private Golf Club. If you're ever lucky enough to be invited, don't turn down the opportunity. We had a wonderful day, volunteering for a wonderful cause. 6-6-2022...Another wonderful day at Peachtree Golf Club volunteering for a special cause for Georgia Alzheimer's Association. The day started out beautiful, and throughout the day all the Players appeared to be having a blast. As the last foursome finished on our 11th tee and as we headed for the Clubhouse, we could tell the skies were getting ready to open up...and they did 🤣 Special thanks for letting us be apart of something bigger than ourselves. If you get the chance to volunteer or donate funds, I hope you'll step up and give...generously.
