About the club
The Piedmont Driving Club was originally established for horse-and-carriage enthusiasts during the post-Civil War period. Not until 1902 did it add golf to its assortment of attractions. With three incarnations of clubhouses and multiple revisions to its golf courses, the club has preserved its high standards and southern charm, continuing to serve its inner-city location. Membership is by invitation only and extends beyond the Atlanta metropolitan area. While founded as a golf club, it has expanded to offer tennis, fitness, swimming, and dining facilities to its members.

My family held a funeral reception here and it was a beautiful venue to honor his memory and legacy. They were accommodating to all our off-the-wall requests, and it was cathartic to have a final send-off here. Shout out to the bar tenders and wait staff who helped make the event smooth and magical.
