About the club

The Golfclub Feldafing is situated at the shore of the Starnberg lake and was integrated into the historic Lenne Park. The 18 holes were uniquely embedded into the sloped terrain, impressing golfers not only due to their sportive attractiveness and the beautiful panorama, but also due to their historic flair. The seniority of Feldafings’s arboreal inventory is undeniable, as ist effects on the golf: tightness and wet soil on the one side, aesthetics fit for a King on the other. Much of the tightness appears on the first few holes, with the par three second probably taking the cake – the one redeeming factor are the views of Lake Starnberg shimmering through foliage. So there is no period of adjustment or easing into the pecularities of the game played here. Feldafing is not a course to be attacked and the whole challenge is best described as tricky and strategic. As the round progresses the fairways do get a bit wider, but not necessarily any easier to navigate as they wind up and down and across the slopes leading down the lakeshores. Overall the routing is exquisite and every hole has its own character.
