About the club

The 18 holes of the Kronberg golf course are partly in the park of Schloss Friedrichshof and partly on the adjacent area. With par 68 and lengths of 4938 m for men and 4434 m for women, the first impression is wrongly given that Kronberg is an easy golf course. But just a look at the slope values ​​of 122 for men and 124 for women indicates a higher level of difficulty. The narrow fairways, bordered on the sides by trees and bushes, require precise and straight strokes. The not-too-large greens are difficult to read and sometimes wavy. Above all, the course has the property of changing considerably, depending on whether the fairways are wet or dry. The moats hardly play a role, but the greens are defended by numerous bunkers. And the slightly hilly terrain and the slopes do not make the course any easier. The 19th hole with its club terrace , which offers sophisticated gastronomy, can be extended to the castle hotel . After a round of golf, you can quickly forget all bad golf shots. The experience of nature in a castle park with foreign giant trees, flowering rhododendron bushes and noble trees is particularly pronounced in Kronberg. The golf course laid out by Ernst Kothe with special care for the magnificent trees is not without reason called one of the most beautiful golf courses in Germany .
