The Brunnwies golf course was the first design by Bernhard Langer for the Golf Resort Bad Griesbach, his design for the 18-hole course is still considered to be an all-round success today. Because the championship course is a kind of " Best of Bad Griesbach ", contains almost everything that distinguishes the golf resort and makes it popular: wonderful views of beautiful nature, fairways harmoniously integrated into the hilly landscape , a varied, sporty design, but that is manageable for everyone , a very good state of maintenance and with the manor a cozy, rustic meeting place that makes après-golf a pleasure. It is this unique combination that makes Brunnwies the preferred course at the golf resort for many recreational golfers and that prompted the English specialist magazine "Golf World" to name Brunnwies as one of the " Top 20" golf courses in Europe . Extensive rough, water in strategic places and strongly undulating, hand-cut greens, which are challenging to putt and allow tricky flag positions, are sporty characteristics. The structure of the landscape in particular contributes to the visual appeal of the par 71/70 course. The 18 holes wind their way through the rolling hills of the Rottal in an almost natural way and offer wonderful views of the landscape, which is also known as the "Bavarian Tuscany". There are only two places where there are steeper climbs, which at their highest points not only allow a beautiful view but also particularly interesting holes with wide tees down into the depths: After the long climb up to the fifth and nearby sixth green on top of the plateau, it starts off seventh tee deep. Long hitters who can hit the field on the right have the chance to reach the raised green of this highly interesting par 5 hole in two strokes. The high 14th tee is also spectacular: the green, defended by a pond and two bunkers, is a good 50 meters lower, the right club selection is crucial on this par 3, which is 155 meters long from the yellow tees. As befits a good golf course, the final hole is demanding and memorable. At the downhill dogleg on the right, the long hitters can take a huge shortcut with a perfect tee shot and almost hit the ball on the green, but have to overcome trees and the out of bounds.
