The Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling - Old Course
About the club
The Hong Kong Golf Club is a bastion of tradition, from its neo-colonial clubhouse to its trio of vintage-style courses. Situated on rolling, park-like terrain, near the boundary between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, the Fanling, as the locals call it, has been the arena for the Hong Kong Open continuously since 1959; only the Augusta National has a longer history of association with a single course. Opening in 1911, the Old Course measures 6,246 yards from the Championships tees and hosts the Hong Kong Ladies Open. A traditional layout featuring tree lined fairways and small greens places a premium on accuracy rather than length.
