Osprey Meadows Golf Course at Tamarack Resort

About the club

Robert Trent Jones II laid out the course for Osprey Meadows at Tamarack Resort in the mountains of Idaho near the town of Donnelly. The site features varied topography and surroundings, from thick woods to open fields, all of which is framed by outstanding alpine views. The course itself, which debuted in the mid-2000s, is nicely proportioned, with a fine mix of par 3s, 4s and 5s, and a real joy to play if you avoid the rough, and the variety of tee positions and big greens and landing areas accommodate all skill levels. The challenge is enhanced by abundant water in the form of streams and marshes, and by heavy bunkering. One of the standout holes is the dogleg 16th, which at 383 yards is the shortest of the par 4s, but is defended by bunkers along the fairway and green, while the green itself is nestled in a stand of aspens.
