About the club
Idlewild Country Club was established in 1900 as one of the earliest golf clubs in the Chicago area . The original course was designed by Willie Watson, but in 1913, renowned architect Donald Ross was commissioned to redesign the course, creating many of the features that remain today . The club has been an important fixture in Chicago's southern suburbs for over a century, hosting numerous significant regional tournaments .

Great place ! My wife and I got married here in 2008. Her family has been a member ever since. We enjoy the restaurant and all the holiday parties every year. The kids love the swimming pool, diving board, and food truck in the summer ! Peter and Chef Jeff have always been very kind and patient with my 88 year old mother in law. This 4th of July, she was lucky enough to win the helicopter ride and got to fly over her house!
