Lake of Egypt Country Club

About the club

2015 has been a good year for the Lake of Egypt Country Club. We had an extraordinary amount of rainfall early in the season, raining out a few of our events, but the Club rebounded with a membership active in Men’s League, growing numbers in the Monday Morning Men’s League, and busier than usual daily play. A higher member retention rate and many new members resulted in the largest member roster in several years. Your Board is making your Club more active and becoming a place for you and your family and guests to come to entertain and be entertained. With golf outings, live bands, dinners, bonfires, pool parties, etc., we are becoming the place our members come to for enjoyment and fellowship. We thank the newly formed Special Events Committee (the Kellers, Blues, and Pauls) for their hard work and leadership in coordinating some of these events. The Lake of Egypt Country Club has long been a family oriented club, keeping membership affordable to all those that would wish to be members. In doing so, we have come to rely and depend on those very generous members giving of their time, hard work, and sometimes financial assistance. We would like to thank all of those members responsible for their involvement in providing our long overdue new roof, and when too much rain and equipment breakdowns seemed to cover us up in grass forever, we were blessed with several mowers complete with operators to get us caught up in no time. As 2015 comes to an end, we reflect on the year of making new friends and new golf buddies, and miss those we’ve lost. We thank you all for joining us, new members and old, and we hope to have you back for 2016. We promise to try to make it memorable and rewarding for you and your family.
