Medinah, Illinois
Medinah Country Club
About the club
One of the most storied clubs in American golf — founded in 1924 by Shriners and home to three courses including the legendary Course No. 3, which has hosted four US Opens (1949, 1975, 1990, 2006), three PGA Championships (1999, 2006 twice), and the 2012 Ryder Cup (the miraculous European comeback). The Course No. 3 is one of the most dramatic championship venues in golf — with the par-3 17th over Lake Kadijah as its signature hole. The Byzantine-domed clubhouse is the most architecturally spectacular in American golf.
