About the club

Desmond Muirhead has laid out only a few courses in this part of the world; of the Imperial he has said that "the course is designed so that each hole is a separate event, an individual theatre where every golfer can give his maximum performance." Pretty much every hole here is superb. The short par 3 5th, for example, resembles an Old World estate with its green set in concentric rings of water and sand. The fairway of the long par 5 9th is edged by water, while its green is defended by more water and an imposing double bunker. The back nine is equally intriguing; water-fringed bunkers protect the par 3 16th, and the 584-yard par 5 18th demands multiple carries over water to reach a green further defended by an arched bunker on a large pond. No golfer of any skill level will want to miss this course.
