Argentario Golf Club

About the club

Argentario Golf & Spa Resort, located on Monte Argentario in southwest Tuscany, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026, marking two decades of excellence in golf, sustainability, and luxury hospitality. The club opened its championship 18-hole course on June 2, 2006, envisioned by owner Augusto Orsini, who drew inspiration from his childhood holidays in the area. Nestled near the Orbetello Lagoon, the par-71, 6,295-meter course combines technical variety with wide fairways and year-round playability, seamlessly blending with the Mediterranean terrain. From the start, Argentario distinguished itself through environmental stewardship, earning BioAgriCert certification and joining the “Impegnati nel Verde” program for eco-friendly maintenance. Argentario has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the Ladies Italian Open, National Open Championship, Senior Italian Open, and Italian Challenge Open. Its international reputation was cemented in 2025 when it welcomed the 82nd Italian Open on the DP World Tour, where Adrien Saddier claimed his first European Tour victory. In 2019, the club earned the title of PGA National Golf Course Italy, the only course in the country to hold this honour. Legendary players such as Gary Player, José María Olazábal, and Matteo Manassero have visited, and the resort has also hosted elite brand events for Mercedes, Valentino, Moncler, and Brunello Cucinelli. Beyond the course, the Argentario Golf Academy offers world-class instruction with TrackMan and Capto technology, tailored programs for all levels, and corporate or junior groups. The resort features a luxury hotel, extensive spa, fine dining, and bespoke villas, with panoramic views of the Orbetello Lagoon from the clubhouse terrace. Combining sport, wellness, and sustainability, Argentario Golf & Spa Resort has become one of Italy’s top golfing destinations, where elite golf, environmental responsibility, and hospitality coexist in harmony.
