Circolo Golf Torino - La Mandria
About the club
The two courses at Torino Golf Club, located in the same locale as the Royal Park Club's I Roveri, were first designed by English architect John Morrison, a colleague of Harry S. Colt, and in recent years renovations were overseen by Graham Cooke of Canada. The Blu is the club's tournament-level course, though the other eighteen is also worth playing. The setting is parkland, where groves of mature trees define the edges of the ample fairways. Judicious use of water hazards and bunkers along the greens keep things interesting, and the course definitely rewards repeated play. The club counts some of Turin's more prominent citizens among its membership, including the Agnelli family, which has for generations been associated with manufacturing giant Fiat, and club president and former European and Italian Amateur champ Lorenzo Silva, who is overseeing refurbishment of the greens so that the course will maintain its luster.
