About the club

Golf Club Carimate is a remarkable fusion of sport, history, and Italian architectural elegance. Founded in 1962, the club was established on the grounds of the former Carimate Castle park, transforming 60 hectares of historic land into a lush golfing sanctuary. Its creation was part of a visionary project led by the noble Arnaboldi Cazzaniga family — longtime residents of the region since the 18th century — and the Società Generale Immobiliare di Roma, blending the charm of heritage with the vitality of modern leisure. The 18-hole course was designed by engineer and golfer Piero Mancinelli, who carefully adapted the layout to the area’s natural topography. Each fairway flows gracefully with the land’s gentle slopes, creating a course that is both technically engaging and beautifully scenic. Mancinelli’s design harmoniously integrates with the surrounding residential area, ensuring that the course not only respects but enhances the landscape’s character. Adding to its distinction is the clubhouse — an icon of Italian modernism conceived by architects Guido Veneziani and Vico Magistretti.
