Golf Del Ducato - La Rocca Course

About the club

Golf Del Ducato’s La Rocca Course is a classic Italian parkland golf experience set in the heart of Emilia‑Romagna’s famed Food Valley. Founded in 1985 on gently rolling terrain framed by oak and acacia woods, small lakes and natural scenery, the 18‑hole, par‑72 layout stretches over just above 6 100 m and blends beautifully with its landscape, offering players memorable vistas and a true sense of place. Designed by Marco Croze and later refined by Luigi Rota Caremoli, La Rocca is known for its high‑quality greens and course conditioning that challenge golfers of various skill levels while remaining enjoyable and walkable. What sets La Rocca apart is not just its playing characteristics but also its prestigious role in Italian golf. The course has been honoured with the PGAI Golf Destination title and has hosted multiple national championships, including professional events and under‑18 tournaments, underscoring its quality and competitive appeal. Nestled near a historic residence once linked to Maria Luigia of Austria — wife of Napoleon Bonaparte — the course unites sporting tradition with cultural heritage in a uniquely Italian setting. Off the course, Golf Del Ducato provides a full range of amenities designed to enhance a golfer’s visit. Practice facilities include a driving range, putting and pitching greens, and chipping areas, while the clubhouse offers a pro shop, restaurant and bar where guests can enjoy local Parma cuisine and regional wines. The welcoming ambience and blend of sport, nature and gastronomy make La Rocca a standout destination for players travelling through northern Italy.
