Lanzo Golf Club

About the club

Perched high in the Italian Alps at an altitude of 1,000 meters, Golf Club Lanzo is a captivating retreat where golf, nature, and culture intertwine. Established in 1962, the club was the vision of the renowned Swiss-British architect Donald Harradine, whose talent for harmonising sport with landscape is evident throughout the course. Nestled in the beautiful Pian delle Noci area, the layout was designed to flow naturally with its alpine surroundings, creating a serene and immersive experience that celebrates both the game and the environment. The nine-hole course winds gracefully through woodlands and open clearings, offering sweeping views over the valleys and mountain peaks of the Valle d’Intelvi. Every hole reflects Harradine’s masterful understanding of terrain and rhythm — technical yet playable, scenic yet strategic. Beyond its design, Golf Club Lanzo embodies the charm of 1960s Italy, a time marked by cultural vibrancy and artistic flair, making it not just a golf destination but a piece of Italian history that has retained its soul and authenticity through the decades. Today, Golf Club Lanzo continues to welcome golfers seeking tranquillity and inspiration in equal measure. Its setting amid forests, meadows, and alpine air makes it a haven of calm and connection, a place where the spirit of golf merges with the timeless traditions of the mountains. More than a course, it stands as a symbol of community, passion, and the enduring bond between sport and nature, inviting visitors to discover the quiet beauty and cultural richness of the Valle d’Intelvi.
