White Witch Golf Course
About the club
Architects Robert von Hagge and Richard Baril worked together in the late 1990s to create one of the top courses in the area for the Ritz Carlton resort hotel. Built like Cinnamon Hill, though some three decades later, on the property of the Rose Hall Great House, the layout made the most of modern construction methods in order to exploit what would once have been an unworkable site. White Witch takes its exotic name from Annee Palmer, who was supposedly associated with the mansion in the 1800s, and according to legend was involved in occult practices and murder and still stalks the grounds. The course itself, however, shows no signs of being haunted, and offers a 6758-yard, par 71 championship layout that spreads over two hundred acres of rolling green countryside. White Witch has been named number one in Conde Nast Travelers lists of the best courses and pro shops in the region.
