The unique geologic features and numerous caves of Carter Caves State Resort Park have appealed to tourists for many years. Although the area was made a state park in 1946, it had operated as a private tourist attraction since the 1880s and had been used for commercial purposes long before that. The primary draw was, and remains, the caves. When you crawl out of the caves and want to enjoy a relaxing afternoon, visit our 9-hole golf course located above our lodge. Known for numerous deer and turkey, you will enjoy a serene round of golf. As a state resort park, Carter Caves offers all the amenities, including a golf shop with Kentucky State Parks Golf Trial logo merchandise for your souvenirs and gifts. If you want to leave your clubs at home, no problem. We rent golf clubs, golf cars and pull carts.
