About the club

The Quarry course at Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort takes its name from the remains of a mine that add character to this amazing site tucked among some of Minnesota's famous lakes. The topography is fairly even, but the layout makes good use of small changes in elevation. This is classic risk-and-reward golf, where players may find themselves lured into difficult positions in pursuit of glory. The fairways vary nicely in design and orientation; thus those of the 10th and 18th holes angle off abruptly, while in other cases the bunkering is the major factor in play. An incredibly courteous and helpful staff treats players like VIPs and keeps the facilities in tip-top shape. Not surprisingly, then, Giants Ridge is winning accolades from the likes of Golf Digest, which has named the Quarry the best public course in the state and number 14 in the country.
