About the club
The Tom Fazio-designed Iron Horse Golf Club is located in northwest Montana between the steps of Big Mountain and the shores of Whitefish Lake. The picturesque golf course meanders through thick forests and over constant elevation changes with fairways protected by tight driving windows and tricky bentgrass greens requiring accurate approaches from sloping lies. The routing displays an obvious connection to the natural surroundings as wildlife often roam the fairways and greens built to follow the existing slopes of the terrain.

I’ve never been treated with such rudeness at a business in the Flathead Valley as what my husband experienced at Iron Horse Golf Club. He was immediately dismissed and told to leave by Kevin, the maintenance manager, without even being given the courtesy of a simple conversation. The level of abrasiveness and disrespect was shocking, specially from a place that advertises itself as family friendly. As lifelong locals who own businesses and raise our children here, we expect at the very least common courtesy. Because of this encounter, we will never support Iron Horse Golf Club or entrust our children to their programs so long as Kevin is running the show. There is a huge lack of integrity and professionalism. Very disheartening.
