About the club

Designed by the fantastic up and coming Cabell Robinson, Amelkis is the newest course in Marrakech. It is an american style course with many water hazards, large bunkers, exotic rough, all complemented by a splendid kasbah style clubhouse overlooking the snow-covered Atlas Mountains. This golf course is testing for any golfer, with a number of water features and bunkers set among palm groves and Moroccan architecture. The fairways are lined by luxurious villas, century old palm trees, groves of palms and giant papyrus reeds. Throughout the course, you have "kettaras" which are 11th century irrigation works built by Almoravides hydraulics experts. The back nine holes at Amelkis Golf Club are dominated by water hazards, such at the 447-meter 15th. All in all, Amelkis is a tough and subtle course, with long par 3's and tight fairways.
