About the club
Hackensack is an incredibly enjoyable Charles Banks design that incorporates several template holes as well as original ones to create a great golf course in North Jersey. The course includes a Redan (12th), Biarritz (3rd) and one of the best punchbowls in Banks’ portfolio at the 16th. Over the past few years, the club has embarked on a massive renovation overseen by Steve Weisser and Rees Jones with the goal of restoring most of the course and adding a few new ones, like the 150-yard fairway bunker at the 11th, which sits nearly eight feet deep. Additionally, the club has removed many trees, opening up the property and allowing golfers to see much more of the property.

Finally got there by making some assumptions. G maps routed me to a service "road" at the opposite side of the golf course, a little used narrow equipment road that was closed off with a gate. Had to judge how to go by the map showing me several blocks away from the main entrance. I actually had entered the exact address and yet it wanted me to use this closed equipment "road" to get to the main building from the rear of the property going through the fairways of the golf course. Google, please fix this.

Outstanding golf course. Bunkers/sand traps are severe, I like that. Attended a wedding there. Exceptional service by the wait staff. The music was a string Quartet, by Music for the Moment, and was exceptional. String Quartets are so incredibly beautiful. Made the wedding special.

We attended a wedding reception here last night. It was absolutely perfect. All of the staff with was extremely attentive. Food was very very good. All in all a wonderful experience for everyone there
