About the club
The most exclusive private club at America's oldest racetrack — the Reading Room at Saratoga Race Course is an invitation-only private clubhouse within the track used since 1863. Members have included the Vanderbilts, Whitneys, and every great name in thoroughbred racing. Access is by introduction from existing members only. The August racing season at Saratoga — six weeks of the finest thoroughbred racing in America — is the social event of the summer for the East Coast's horse racing aristocracy.
