About the club
Founded in 1904, The Explorers Club is the world's most prestigious society of professional exploration and field research. Its flag has been carried to both Poles, the summit of Everest, the Moon, the Mariana Trench, and every other corner of the Earth. Members have included Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Sir Edmund Hillary, Thor Heyerdahl, and Jane Goodall. The legendary Upper East Side headquarters contains an extraordinary museum of exploration artifacts. Annual Explorers Club dinner is the most extraordinary gathering of adventurers on Earth.
