About the club
The Bald Head Island Club was founded in 1974 and it originally housed a nine-hole course designed by George Cobb. Over the years, it expanded to an 18-hole facility and underwent its most significant renovation in 2010, overseen by architect Tim Cate. This redesign brought coastal characteristics into the course's aesthetic appeal, providing sand dunes and views of the ocean. The Bald Head Island Club is a private club open only to members and their guests.
