About the club

Founded in 1959 as Quail Hollow Country Club, the club was established on former farmland in southeast Charlotte . The course was originally designed by George Cobb, who worked with Arnold Palmer on the Par-3 course at Augusta National . In 1979, James J. Harris acquired the club and initiated a series of improvements that would eventually transform it into a championship-caliber venue .
