About the club

Players at the Eagles Nest may find themselves thinking they have been transported to the British Isles. Architect Dough Carrick did some massive earthmoving in order to suggest dunes along many of the fairways, and added such highlights as classic grass-fronted bunkers. The front nine begins with a straightforward par 5m but the 3rd drops over 30 yards from the tee to a green set in a valley, only to rise again for the start of the back nine. Here enormous rises recall links-style courses. At the end, the par 5 17th features a split fairway and abundant bunkers, while the longish par 4 18th is defined by a water hazard and offers a final challenge. The clubhouse is luxurious and the practice grounds fantastic, so it's no wonder the Eagles Nest bears comparison with the finest private clubs in Canada, and ranks among the best public golf on the continent.
