Founder Nick Jones opened the first House in 1995 above his restaurant, Cafe Boheme, in a Georgian house in London's Soho. Its Houses combine places to eat, drink, work, exercise and stay, with screening rooms and an art collection of more than 8,000 works.

Soho House Toronto is set over three floors of a restored Georgian building from the 1830s in the historic Bishop's Block, a building that once housed one of Toronto's first hotels. Up on the roof, a bar looks over downtown Toronto and the islands, and the club also has a members' restaurant with Canadian-influenced dishes made with ingredients from local farms, a contemporary art collection and frequent music and events programming. There are no bedrooms at this House.
