About the club

The course at Circle Bar Golf Club is long if every shot is on the mark, and longer yet if your ball drifts left or right - which also typically brings trees, creeks and ponds into play. But don't think you can just "grip it and rip it," because approach shots to the course's trademark postage-stamp greens require pinpont accuracy. Overshoot, and your ball may be gone for good! Some call No. 4 Circle Bar Golf Club's signature hole (others call it unprintable things). At 567 yards from the blue tees, it would be a tough par 5 even without added challenges. Factor in the pond to the right that's a magnet for slices (and may already have swallowed your ball on No. 1), a second pond to the left at average second-shot range, the looming tree on the left just past that, and the thick grove of oaks on the right at the same distance - stray into those, and you may think you're playing pinball, rather than golf - plus the uphill finish, and you've got a monster of a hole! Even the par 3's are no cakewalk, with the shortest (No. 3) playing 167 yards from the blue tees, and the other (No. 8) playing 185. And did we forget to mention that No. 9 is another long par 5 (504 yards), with another uphill finish - after carrying a deceptive, angled creek, avoiding trees and out-of-bounds to the right, and turning a dogleg? But challenging as it can be, the course at Circle Bar Golf Club is also fun for high handicappers, ladies (it plays "only" 5,970 yards from the ladies tees) and juniors, as most fairways are wide and will still leave you with a shot - although not necessarily an easy one - if you're not a tour pro.
