Challenge at White Deer Golf Club

About the club

Designed by Lindsay Ervin, the Challenge Course opened in the summer of 1990. Known to our locals as the "New Course" the Challenge features seventy-four bunkers, eleven water holes, plenty of out of bounds and tree lined fairways. The opening hole gives false hope as this course is literally cut into the dense woods of southern Lycoming County. The Challenge offers four sets of tees so all can enjoy this scenic par 72 layout. At 6587 yards from the tips, the smart player usually prevails over a long hitter as accuracy is the key in maneuvering this tight course. Over the years the Challenge Course has accumulated a loyal following of players who consider its layout to be one of the finest in all of North Central Pennsylvania.
