About the club
Pete Dye's Mystic Rock Course brought Nemacolin Woodlands Resort to the attention of the golf world. Situated just outside of Pittsburgh in the lovely Laurel Highlands region of Pennsylvania, this course hosted the PGA Tour's Lumber Classic in 1984, and it remains up to tournament standards, with a length of 6900 meters and one of the highest course ratings (78.3) and slope ratings (152) in the country. The layout extends over gently hilly ground that is exposed to the wind and punctuated by huge boulders and enormous bunkers. The greens are extremely fast. The 16th is the signature hole, which extends over five hundred yards and bends repeatedly before reaching an asymmetrical green defended by a water hazard. Unlike Nemacolin Woodlands' Links eighteen, caddies are required at Mystic Rock. The award-winning accommodations feature excellent practice facilities and fine dining and lodging, while the Nike Tech Center offers state-of-the-art instruction.
