Qunita da Marinha The Quinta da Marinha Golf Course, designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, is a must to visit for golfers around the world who want to experience the blend between spending their days on the golf course and that of experiencing Portuguese culture. As the course is located near the centre of Cascais, and the outskirts of Lisbon, players find themselves within the heart of the country and are able to not only experience the fantastic golf courses of Portugal, but also the culture of this vibrant country. The course itself offers fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the incredible Sintra Mountains, alongside a wide variety beautiful nature. The style of designer Robert Trent Jones truly shines as it features many elevated greens, bunkers, and water hazards. These all allows for any golfers, of any handicap, are able to play and fully enjoy themselves amongst the sunshine and nature. Some particular holes to look forward to when playing are holes 4, 13, and 18, which each offer their own unique challenges such as traversing ravines and lakes to then be followed by demanding greens. Hole 3 is also particularly interesting for its incredible views that were used internationally to promote golf in Portugal. Overlooking the 18th hole, there lies the Trent Jones bar which is the perfect place to relax after a round of golf. Alongside the facilities of the course itself, there is also the Quinta da Marinha Hotel. The 5 star hotel was recently renovated in 2020, and so now as the pandemic and its reach begin to lessen, the hotel is now fully ready for any client ready to stay in the luxury hotel. There are a wide variety of restaurants and facilities including a stunning pool. The hotel is located once again in the heart of the country and borders Cascais and Sintra, and is only 25km from Lisbon.
