About the club

Located within the Ria Formosa Natural Park, this 18-hole golf course offers amazing views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the beach of Cacela Velha, which recently has been awarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Right from the start of the round, you will be able to recognize the work and design of a world-renowned Golf Course Architect – Rocky Roquemore. The idea of the architect was to create a challenging golf course while maintaining the original natural landscape with thousands of ancient olive and carob trees. Over 100 strategically shaped bunkers, as well as undulating greens and artificial lakes were added to complement this layout. From the first to the eighteenth hole, you will be challenged to use every club in your bag. The biggest challenge is however, the 10th Hole (Signature Hole) with its 422m PAR 4 – Stroke Index 1. Game strategy is required from the tee to the green. We challenge you to cross over the large tree known as the “Love Tree” and reach the green in two strokes! The back nine holes take you back to the magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean. The setting is a unique combination of Nature and Golf. Take some time to appreciate the huge variety of wildlife that inhabits this area.
