Undoubtedly, the premier San Lorenzo course can boast of the best location on the Quinta do Lago peninsular. Surprisingly, it was over 10 years in the making. This prime seaside terrain of sand and pines has been skillfully designed to accommodate the finishing holes of both nines. Flouting commercial interests, the beachfront is fortunately home to a golf course instead of housing. From the first holes, it is hard to imagine what beautiful sites lie ahead. The undulating course is surrounded by lovely villas similar to golfing developments in the Algarve. A captivating short par 3 6th hole is followed by two along the shore with stunning 360-degree views. Probably the best hole on the coast, the three-shot 8th can be played with two long shots by crossing a water inlet before the green. The back nine has some finishing holes with water obstacles. All in all, a superb course!
