Torre Golf Course at Terras da Comporta marks Sergio García’s first solo design in Europe, blending precision, natural beauty, and strategic shotmaking along Portugal’s Alentejo coast. Opened in 2025, the layout plays to the land’s sandy terrain and coastal influences, with narrow fairways, risk-and-reward holes, and smaller, undulating greens emphasizing accuracy over brute force. Drawing inspiration from iconic courses like Valderrama, the course features multiple tee positions to suit all levels, smart bunkering, and tight routing through umbrella pines, providing both a challenging test for low handicappers and an accessible, enjoyable experience for resort guests. The lack of wide, forgiving lines means every shot counts, and the views of the Sado Estuary, pine forest backdrop, and native vegetation continuously remind you of the natural integrity at the heart of this championship course.
