About the club

Doha Golf Club stands as one of the oldest and most iconic golf destinations in the region, marking the beginning of grass golf in Qatar in 1998. That year, the club hosted the inaugural Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, becoming a key stop on the European Tour's Middle East swing. The tournament’s debut saw Scottish golfer Andrew Coltart claim victory, paving the way for a legacy of star-studded events that have firmly placed Qatar on the global golfing map. Designed by renowned architect Peter Harradine, the club features a stunning 27-hole layout, including an 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole floodlit academy course, catering to players of all skill levels. Over the decades, both the course and the surrounding city of Doha have grown and transformed, making the club not just a hub for golfers but a symbol of Qatar’s sporting and urban evolution.
