Watch Hill is Rhode Island's most exclusive summer colony — a self-contained world of Gilded Age \"cottages,\" private clubs, and a social order unchanged since the 1880s. The Watch Hill Beach Club is the organizing institution of this world, providing private beach access, dining, and social programming for the summer families of Watch Hill's most prominent estates. Taylor Swift owns a nearby estate. Old-money Providence and New York families have summered here for six generations.
