You know you are playing on a superior golf course when the better you play, the more difficult it becomes. The quintessential course of this type is probably Augusta National, where even the world’s top golfers can struggle when playing in the April Masters tournament. With its recent improvements, any player scoring under par will likely finish in the top 10. Yet those with higher handicaps may actually find Augusta less challenging than their home courses, since there is no rough or problems before tees, not so many bunkers and ample greens that can be got down in three. While Seletar Country Club cannot be compared to Augusta National, it does challenge the expert golfer, but also facilitates the less experienced with some forward tees. Like its famous Georgian counterpart, Seletar has a hilltop clubhouse with a beautiful scenic view underneath and similar panoramas from anywhere on the course.
