Greenville Country Club: Chanticleer Course

Had a golf lesson with Coleman Farrow. He literally fixed my swing in ten seconds and had me striping all my irons throughout the lesson. No exaggeration I have never hit an iron off the deck with air under the ball until today. Mr. Farrow was patient, knowledgeable and personable. 10/10 would recommend a lesson here.

Very overrated golf club in my opinion. But people pay a lot of money to be members. The layout is decent but nothing spectacular. The course is in good but not great condition most of the time. The new clubhouse is nice. I think you pay to say you are a member here, the prestige. You can find better courses with a short drive!

The Chanticleer course at GCC is an Upstate SC treasure. Great professional staff, and the course is one of RTJ’s best. If you get the privilege of an invite to play it, don’t pass it up!
