Sky 72 Golf Club
About the club
The Ocean Course at Sky 72 Golf Club, which debuted in 2005, was designed by Steve Nicklaus, son of Jack, for the Nicklaus Design firm. Located near the main airport in Seoul, the links-style layout was among the first of its kind in Korea. A cluster of knolls in the center of the grounds creates nice variations in the topography. The layout is designed to meet the standards of contemporary tournament play, and will challenge any golfer, especially when the wind blows off the sea, as it usually does; at the same time, the course remains enjoyable for average players. The club has blossomed into one of the most popular in Korea, so it can be crowded; it is said that pin positions on the greens can be changed repeatedly during the same day in an attempt to protect the grass. Maintenance is in any case excellent throughout.
