Aloha Golf Club
About the club
Aloha Golf Club is a prestigious private members-only club located in the heart of Spain's renowned Costa del Sol, near Marbella, in the vibrant "Golf Valley." This championship course, designed by the iconic Spanish architect Javier Arana, was his final masterpiece before his passing in 1975. Aloha opened officially on October 25, 1975, with an inaugural drive by Ángel de la Riva, the President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation. The 18-hole, par-72 course is celebrated for its meticulously crafted layout, featuring gently rolling fairways, mature trees, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Mediterranean Sea. Aloha is a favourite among golfers seeking a strategic challenge combined with natural beauty. Over the years, Aloha has hosted numerous high-profile tournaments, including the Open de Andalucía (part of the PGA European Tour) in 2007, 2008, and 2012, welcoming world-class players like Lee Westwood and Julien Quesne. It has also been the stage for the Ladies Spanish Open, with local hero Azahara Muñoz winning in 2016. The club fosters a warm and inclusive environment with a cosmopolitan membership representing over 29 nationalities. Its facilities include a pro shop, clubhouse, and practice areas, offering a welcoming retreat for golf enthusiasts and a true second home for its members.
