About the club

Golf Son Vida, established in 1964, holds the distinction of being Mallorca’s first golf course, nestled in the prestigious Son Vida estate just minutes from Palma city centre. This par-71 course, measuring 5,597 meters, was originally crafted by F.W. Hawtree and enhanced in 2001 by Kurt Rossknecht. It gained fame by hosting the European Tour’s Balearic Open in 1990 and 1994, where golf legends Severiano Ballesteros and Barry Lane claimed victories. The course’s technical design challenges golfers with sweeping doglegs, undulating fairways, and fast greens, culminating in a dramatic par-5 18th hole that tempts players to clear a water hazard. As a European Tour Destinations member, it ensures top-tier quality, set against a backdrop of ancient trees, luxurious mansions, and breathtaking views of the Bay of Palma, blending history with scenic beauty. The recently renovated clubhouse features a well-stocked Pro Shop and the Son Vida Restaurant, offering high-quality tapas and panoramic views of the 18th green. A strict dress code mandates proper golf attire, prohibiting casual wear like jeans or sandals.
