About the club

The advance of public and municipal Golf in Spain in recent years, and the consequent suppression of the "elitist" label of the game, has the city of Gijón as the maximum exponent and direct responsible for it; fundamentally as a consequence of the construction, management and operation of the first municipal golf course owned and managed directly in our country. La Llorea Municipal Golf Course, a course located on the grounds of the former Granja de Lloreda. Nestled in a coastal rasa, rises about 100 meters above sea level, which is very close, is divided into two parts by the National Road 632, which crosses it. The first 9 holes are located in the northern zone, a 1st round that punishes the players who open the ball; contrary to the 9 holes of the southern zone. Its design, designed by Roland Favré, is therefore perfectly balanced.
