Club de Campo Laukariz (Laukariz Country Club) offers its members excellent conditions for playing sport as well as an atmosphere of social life characterised by its friendliness and familiarity. Framed in a natural park which is geographically large and of great beauty in the municipality of Mungia, just 15 minutes from Bilbao and 10 from Loiu airport. Club de Campo Laukariz (Laukariz Country Club) has many facilities, both sporting as well as catering and hospitality, and worthy of special mention among them is a 27 hole golf course, of which the first eighteen holes were opened in 1975 and were designed by Mr. Puttman. The remaining nine were opened in October 2005 and were designed by Stirling & Martin (Global Golf Company). The golf course covers an area of approximately 70 hectares, having 27 holes, reason why one can play three official 18 hole rounds. The profile of the course is demanding due to its slopes reason why after the course the effort of the physical exercise taken is considerable. From the course several hills and valleys can be seen which added to the natural setting in which the game develops make it a magnificent location.
