About the club

Golf really took off in Sweden in the Seventies, in part because the fact that the game provides a solid but not an exhausting workout appealed to Swedish tastes. Swedes view walking as an almost essential component of the game, and carts are usually reserved for the infirm, but here they simply cannot be avoided, since Hills, which debuted in 2005, lives up to its name with its changes in elevation, and is in addition fairly long. Fortuitously named American designers Arthur Hills (and in fact the course is called after him) and Steve Forrest accomplished a great deal on some rugged ground. A great many trees were cleared to prepare the land, which did not sit well with locals, but at least the area wound up with a tournament-ready course. Seven tee positions are offered, so players who are not tournament-ready can enjoy themselves too.
