About the club

Tennessee State Parks is a state-managed system established in 1937, dedicated to preserving Tennessee's natural, cultural, and historic resources while providing recreational opportunities. Operating under the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, the system includes a diverse network of parks, historic sites, and archaeological parks, welcoming approximately 38 million visitors annually with free admission. The parks offer a range of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and water-based recreation. Recent expansions have added new parks and improved facilities, enhancing access for all visitors. Tennessee State Parks also emphasizes cultural storytelling through initiatives that promote inclusive historical narratives and community engagement. The Tennessee State Parks Conservancy partners with the system to fund projects aimed at improving visitor experiences and supporting sustainability efforts.
